To curb the illegal mining practices in district Samba, the District Mineral Officer Mohammad Sayeed today conducted multiple inspections in Ghagwal area and imposed penalties on violators.
The DMO, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, along with a team visited several areas of Ghagwal and seized one excavator (Pokland) machine involved in illegal mining. During the inspection, they also seized material near one Crusher unit found illegally dumped.
The DMO informed that a penalty was imposed on the tractor trolley found illegally carrying ordinary earth material.
The DMO appealed to the general public to refrain from any illegal mining and contact the control room in case of any illegal material demand. "Crusher unit holders will be held accountable if found raising minor minerals without permission" added the DMO Samba.
